Hiya! Hope you had a wonderful summer vacation! (Or winter, if you’re among our many friends in the southern hemisphere.)
Now that our hiatus is over, we’re going to unveil a few improvements based on reader feedback.
There are four major changes:
- Less, but better. That’s a phrase I picked up from Greg McKeown’s Essentialism – a wonderful book which I highly recommend. We’re going to post two meatier posts/articles each week. Taking the advice of mentors, we’re going to work harder to include clear examples of the principles we’ll be delivering in those articles. You can count on two in-depth articles every week.
- Additional Posts – In addition to the two meatier articles we’ll share with you each week, look for shorter (often curated) posts of things we think you’ll find helpful. The number of these shorter posts will vary from week to week.
- Guest Posts – We’re going to encourage guest posts from our friends… like, you know, you. If you or someone you know has something to share, we’re going to be publishing some editorial guidelines and will welcome you into our community.
- A Weekly Digest – Finally, on Saturday mornings, we’ll be sharing summaries of the posts and links we wrote and liked. If you’d rather get just one email from us each week, here’s your chance. Currently, if you’re signed up to receive our emails, you’re signed up to receive content daily as we publish it. You can update that preference in any of our emails.
You don’t get our emails?
Well… we’d like to invite you to join fabulous, unfairly-awesome people around the world who enjoyed the more than 1,000 articles we’ve written over the last ten years.
If you’d like to join them, we now offer digital copies of three eBooks including my bestselling book Good Company: Making It, Keeping It, Being It just for signing up. We’ll guard your email address like the last donut… we won’t share it with anyone.

Lynn and Ryan are back and refreshed and excited to start writing. Steve is too. If you’ve been with us awhile, all your old friends are back, and we’ve got some new friends, too. If you’re relatively new to the party, it’s going to be a great fall season.
We know your time is valuable, so we’ll work hard to write well and share practical, thoughtful stuff you can apply.
How can we help you?
We’re going to write about the five major levels of The First Order of Business, and we’ll share our best tips on productivity, leadership, and motivation.
In addition, we take requests. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s a topic you’d like us to tackle.
We missed you.
Tim
Oh, and PS – We also spruced up our website a little if you’d like to check it out.
