Almost two years ago, we began dreaming of our who our next partner would be at Miles and Company.
We knew it needed to be a trusted extrovert. You see, we are a company of introverts. Tim, Dee, Ryan and I all rank pretty high on the “I” scale, and that can make it tough to get the word out, no matter how much we believe in what we are doing. And so we put “Company Extrovert” on our priority list and we began working towards the goal of making that possible. And in the back of our minds, we knew there was one perfect person who would fit.
Today we are proud and excited to announce that goal is a reality.
Today Nancy Wallace Schneider joins Miles and Company.
Nancy is a gifted strategist, a warm people person, and she can execute a program like nobody’s business.
(Except that now, delightfully, it gets to be our business.)
Throughout her career, she has served every organization with mission and purpose including as a vice president at Wycliffe, and most recently as the Director of Program Services for Jobs Partnership of Florida. There, she has helped hundreds of career-challenged individuals engage in a life-changing program to get back on track, a program which, by the way, she helped refine at every step of the way.
Nancy brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and ability.
But mostly Nancy brings Nancy. Her warm and caring personality, her sense of purpose, and her inspiring vision for what can be, will be transformative to our little company.
Nancy will help us help more people. Nancy will help organizations at every budget level have access to Miles and Company. Nancy will help us shine.
Please join me in welcoming the delightful, the talented, the new Marketing Director and Company Extrovert for Miles and Company, the one and only, Nancy Wallace Schneider.
Nancy lives in Orlando, Florida, with her husband Tom. Tom serves as Special Counsel and Director of Government and Community Relations for Wycliffe. They are parents to two of the most delightful young adults I know, David and Ellen. She has a deep and abiding passion for sports especially the Gators and the Magic, and is co-owner with her sister of Miller-Wallace Fine Art, showcasing her late mother’s beautiful art.
On a personal note, Nancy has been my closest, dearest friend since that fateful day in December 1990 when I saw her walking through a Junior League holiday house tour with her infant son David in her arms. He was outfitted in one of those in enormous snowsuits that we in the Midwest know all too well. Her smile welcomed me to a sisterhood that has spanned decades. Over the years, her counsel and unwavering friendship have helped me to be a better wife, a better mother, and a better person.
I think you’ll agree with me when I say, I can’t wait to see what she does for Miles and Company. Lucky, lucky us.
So once again, please join me along with Tim, Dee, and Ryan in warmly welcoming Nancy “Miles” Wallace Schneider* to the Ramada Inn stage.
Take it away Nancy!
*(Unofficial adoption by Rich and Janet Miles is a perk of partnership!)
