Last week was vacation week at Tim Miles & Co. We dispersed ourselves across the country from Hawaii to Florida to Pennsylvania. My vacation happened to turn into a frantic cross-country move from Utah to Michigan, the epitome of relaxation.
While my week may not have been vacation-like it gave all of us a chance to take a step back from the day to day and think more big picture. It’s kind of amazing how, once you take some of that pressure off yourself, you seem to think a bit more clearly and some of those thoughts that have been nagging in the back of your mind take much better shape.
If you haven’t yet, I hope you get the chance to go on a vacation soon. And some words of wisdom from Ryan Patrick – don’t bring the kids.
Stuff we wrote this past week:
On Friday, we had another week of Practically Social with a couple of really cool stories about kindness and an ad for Quaker that very well may make your heart melt.
Stuff we liked this week:
First, in case you were concerned about it, NASA promises they don’t have a child slave colony on Mars. It would be a difficult feat considering they haven’t figured out how to get any humans on Mars yet.
Second, people who do some pretty incredible things have a secret to accomplishing the seemingly impossible. It’s not amazing talent or meditation, but selflessness.
Fourth, this time-lapse video of monsoon season in the Southwest United States is simply mesmerizing.
Fifth, I cannot get enough of these videos.
How can we help you?
Well, so that’s a start to our weekend and yours as well. We’ll grow this a little over time as we add content and think of other stuff. During the week, we’re primarily going to write about the five major levels of The First Order of Business, and we’ll share our best tips on management, marketing, and motivation.
In addition, we take requests. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s a topic you’d like us to tackle.
Thanks for your time! Enjoy your weekend!
