As you read this, I am probably on a beach in Hawaii. Actually, I am probably still in bed because time changes are hard.
Here at MCo, with family as a core value, we like to work, but we also value the time we take off to recharge our batteries with the ones we love. Our entire team is taking this upcoming week off to enjoy the holiday and spend time with our families. From my perspective, it’s nice to work for a company that walks their talk. They don’t just say, “we value family,” they mean it.
I’m going to keep it short this morning – have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving! You won’t be hearing from me again for 2 weeks – it’s my holiday gift to you. Enjoy 🙂
Stuff we wrote this past past week:
On Friday, in Practically Social this week we talked about the power of words and how annoying it is when people are naturally good at communicating (and how you can be more like them).
Stuff we liked this week:
First, even when things aren’t going well – there is always, always something to be thankful for. This week especially would be a good time to reflect on all you have to be grateful for.
Second, it’s the stuff dreams are made of…or maybe it should become your reality. Mandi Rivieccio discusses what she learned from a taking a month long sabbatical and why you might want to find a way to make it happen for yourself.
Third, so, a couple weeks ago we shared an article about the clever Tweeter who discovered KFC’s Twitter gag. Turns out KFC was extremely impressed with his detective skills and sent him what may be the coolest gift to ever have been gifted.
Fourth, flying is the worst. Unless you can somehow manage to be THE ONLY PERSON on the entire plane. Then it might be kinda cool.
Fifth, Samantha is 9, and she is smarter than you.
How can we help you?
Well, so that’s a start to our weekend and yours as well. During the week, we’re primarily going to write about the five major levels of The First Order of Business that is covered in our new book, Brand Your Own Business, and we’ll share our best tips on management, marketing, and motivation.
In addition, we take requests. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s a topic you’d like us to tackle.
Thanks for your time! Enjoy your weekend!
