As my heart breaks for those suffering in Texas as well as other areas of the world dealing with some horrific natural disasters, I came across this poem (the link to the page is right here).
Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your love and the tender mercies You bestow unto those who are suffering some sort of tragedy in their lives. I pray a special blessing upon them, Father, as they call upon You with broken hearts. Almighty God, You said in your Word that You will never leave us nor forsake us, so I ask that Your Holy Spirit comfort Your special people at this time. Help them in their daily walk, to be able to call upon You even when they feel overwhelmed, depressed and cheated out of a life of happiness.
God has promised to uphold you with His hand of righteousness as it states in Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
I declare that God’s perpetual light will shine upon these families and you will grow in His glory a little more each day. Amen.
Our prayers are with you all.
Stuff we wrote this past week:
On Friday, we can learn a few things about communication from babbling toddlers in this week’s Practically Social.
Stuff we liked this week:
First, ready or not, Fall is just about here so let’s make the best of it, shall we? Here is the 2017 Fall foliage map so you know the best places to check out the seasonal colors.
Second, raise your hand if you miss Chuck Norris facts! It can’t be just me. It seems like memes have become internet crack and Chuck Norris started it all. Oh, and Chuck Norris once kicked a horse in the chin. Its descendants today are known as giraffes.
Third, here’s some perspective on Hurricane Harvey and what it’s impact would have been in other areas of the country.
Fourth, everyone loves a funny bumper sticker. This one is hilarious, but not on purpose.
Fifth, Irish people trying southern comfort food is much more entertaining that it sounds.
How can we help you?
Well, so that’s a start to our weekend and yours as well. We’ll grow this a little over time as we add content and think of other stuff. During the week, we’re primarily going to write about the five major levels of The First Order of Business, and we’ll share our best tips on management, marketing, and motivation.
In addition, we take requests. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s a topic you’d like us to tackle.
Thanks for your time! Enjoy your weekend!
