It was a short week…but a LONG week if you know what I mean. I am fully under the belief that 99% of the time you need a vacation to recover from your vacation. As Labor Day this past week marked the symbolic end of summer the long weekend flew by. Tim headed down to Florida to speak to the Country Music Broadcaster Association (he was phenomenal, though he would never admit that), Ryan had to replace a leaky dishwasher, and I am currently in North Carolina visiting loved ones. Here’s to another week in the books!
Speaking of books, the launch team we put together for Tim, Ryan, and Lynn’s forthcoming book is amazing. They have provided such thoughtful and helpful feedback and are making the book more helpful to the people who will read it.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend, especially those that are facing the hurricane about to rock Florida. We will be praying for you.
Stuff we wrote this past week:
On Friday, in Practically Social we talked family-owned businesses, giant reunions, and sentimental table ads. It was a real roller coaster of emotion.
Stuff we liked this week:
First, let’s talk things that are NBD (no big deal): staying a little late at work to finish a project, forgetting your cell phone at home, flying an airplane through a hurricane. Well, the last one is by Delta’s standards, not mine.
Second, this little goal has a 3-D printed hand and some seriously big dreams. The best part is the amount of support she is receiving (read the comments).
Third, social media has turned into a world of airbrushing and make believe and we can’t seem to stop comparing our imperfect lives to each other.
How can we help you?
Well, so that’s a start to our weekend and yours as well. We’ll grow this a little over time as we add content and think of other stuff. During the week, we’re primarily going to write about the five major levels of The First Order of Business, and we’ll share our best tips on management, marketing, and motivation.
In addition, we take requests. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s a topic you’d like us to tackle.
Thanks for your time! Enjoy your weekend!
