Public education is near and dear to my heart.
I come from a long line of teachers beginning with my Grandma June and on to uncles, aunts and cousins.
My children all attended public school here in my town, and are thriving in their post-secondary lives.
I worked for a local school district managing the communication efforts before joining Tim, Dee and Ryan here at the Imagination Advisory Group.
So I am biased. I’ll say that up front. I love public school. I have great empathy for the challenges. I understand the concerns. It’s harder than ever before to educate children as poverty rates soar, even in our safe little Midwestern community.
BUT…
As in small business, big business, and any in-between business, the kindness and professionalism of Shareworthy Service must prevail, even in the public school setting.
The competition from private schools is stronger than ever before.
The stress on parents, students and school staff members is greater than ever before.
The resources of public school districts are stretched tighter than ever before.
It is only through kindness and professionalism from administrators, teachers, students, staff members, parents and the community at large that goals will be met, children can learn and the world will be better.
At least that’s what he said.
