Your email marketing extends beyond those newsletters and offers you send out to your customer lists. It includes every response to an online order, too. I received a good one this week following an impulse buy. I’ve never purchased from them before so I can neither recommend nor disapprove of this vendor.
But what I can recommend is their brand of email marketing.
Here’s an excerpt:
Here’s what I like about it – three simple principles you can apply to any layer of your email campaign:
1. It’s warm and friendly. They introduce themselves and give me the link to click through and meet their team.
2. It’s goal-oriented. We’ll see if they live up to their aim, but I like that they told me up front that their aim was to treat me like family.
3. It’s brief and direct. They know that they are not in business without me and they found a way to tell me that in only eight little words.
Find ways this week to make these changes to your marketing emails. (Remember any automatic-response type emails you may have set up too.) Warm them up, share your goals, and be brief and direct. Your customers and future customers will thank you.
