Happy Birthday in a word.

Today is Tim‘s birthday. As his big sister, I’d like to take the opportunity to celebrate him today.  And what better way to celebrate  a man who loves words than with, well, words!

My word for Tim is brave. He is a brave husband, friend, brother and dad. He is a brave business man, bravely creative and brave enough to take risks when they count. Hiring me was one of those risks and I’m grateful.

I was just shy of 10 years old when he was born. I was called to the office at Gifford Grade School to take the phone call from our dad at the hospital. I was disappointed that he was a boy, but that quickly faded when I met him in person a few hours later. He hasn’t disappointed me since.

At my last minute request, some of Tim’s family and friends contributed one word to describe him.
