FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Sévres, France) – The International Bureau of Weights & Measures, in conjunction with The Nobel Foundation, The Ryan Patrick Optimism Society, CERN, The US Naval Master Clock, Wild Kratts, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts have declared September 28th as International Silly Sarah Day.
In honor of Sarah Choo Choo Miles’ 8th birthday, people across the world are encouraged to unite and engage in something silly to loosen their emotional shouldering of burdens and bothers… if only for a little while.
“These are serious times,” says Ryan Patrick, Ombudsman of The Ryan Patrick Foundation, “but by being mindful of making time to be a little silly, it may just help us remember we are far more alike than we are different and that most problems we believe we face are simply urinal gnats.”
“By spending a little time with your silly side on September 28th,” says Mary Rewarts, Vice Chairman of Kilograms for The International Bureau of Weights & Measures, “it will help us remember to separate the truly important from the merely urgent. It’s like a hard reset to our system… in a clown nose.”
Following in the holiday founder’s sparkled, sprinkled, wheelie-shod footsteps, here are some suggestions for you to celebrate today:
Happy Birthday, Super Sarah… thank you for teaching us the value of silly. We love you very much.
Now, go enjoy #SillySarahDay!
