Ten years ago, a family business took a chance on me. I had no clients, a baby, and some ideas about how to help good family businesses share their stories with the world.
Ten years later, that family is still taking a chance on me. For a decade, I’ve met with them not only as clients and friends but also as neighbors.
Next week, my family’s moving from Missouri to Tennessee. Today’s our last meeting as neighbors, but I hope Chapman Heating & Cooling are clients and friends for decades to come.
Both our businesses have grown. Our kids have, too, and I still have a few ideas about how a good family business can share its story with the world. I’m going to share one of those ideas with them this morning.
I know seasons change. It’s a part of life and a part of their business. I’m looking forward to moving to Nashville, but I know I’ll miss my neighbors.
