I was just asked this question the other day by an old friend. He also wondered if he needed to change the name of his business.
Have you ever wondered the same thing? I suppose it’s natural.
Rather than give him what he was hoping for, I gave him what he needed.
What he needed was the following quote from Roy H. Williams:
If your marketing people talk a lot about colors and logos and layouts, you’re dealing with graphics artists posing as marketing consultants.
That quote comes from my business partner’s Monday Morning Memo titled Mountains and Molehills.
You should read it. Now.
I’m sorry if it offends some of you or doesn’t tell you what you want to hear as you think about the shape of your business in 2013.
If I can give you one gift this holiday season, go here and subscribe to the Monday Morning Memo. Every Monday morning (at least it’s Monday morning here in the continental U.S.) you’ll be greeted with a powerful new way to start your day.
Roy gave our company our greatest gifts in 2012. He helped us shape our vision and develop a plan to make our company scalable and give it definition. He can do the same for you – one weekly memo at a time sent right to your inbox.
Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays.
2013 is going to be a very exhilarating year.
