Our 3-year-old daughter’s a wee bit dramatic. A wee bit.
Last night, shortly before bed, she had an accident, but she was tooooooo tired to do anything but go to bed, she said.
Mama, the smart member of the Miles Family, said simply:
"Sarah, don’t sleep in the stink."
Clean up your messes today.
Scratch off the to-do’s.
Tie up loose ends.
Got a beef with someone? Resolve it.
Start your evening with a clean slate and clear conscience.
Don’t sleep in the stink.
Clay Campbell says
Got a lot of people in America sleeping in the stink, I think. “Amen” on Mamma’s comment.
In a way – it reminded me of a quote I saw this morning:
“It is not good enough to have a good mind; the main
thing is to use it well.”

Thanks, Tim. Words I needed to hear today. Got to make sure I don’t sleep in the stink tonight…
