I’ve shared five links with friends over the past 24 hours. If you haven’t seen them, I think you might like one or more of them, too:
Steven Pressfield: The Artist and the Addict – Pressfield is one of my favorite authors, and he wrote this morning (for Do The Work/Writing Wednesdays – a must-read for me each week): “The artist and the addict are not very far apart, are they? Often they’re one and the same. A blues musician or a painter can be an addict one minute and an …” continue reading Steven Pressfield’s column.
Michael Hyatt: Are You Going Through A Storm Cloud Experience – Hyatt and his wife just left for a month-long sabbatical in the mountains, but this morning he wrote about storm clouds. You’ve been there. I’ve been there. He’s been there, too, and in this column he shares the perspective of the only man to literally survive … read Michael Hyatt’s column.
Chris Brogan: Power Up Your LinkedIN Profile – As I told my Gang of Nerds when I shared this with them, I’m completely baffled by LinkedIN. Robert Krulwich: Fall in love with the work. Believe in what you do. – “A job at NBC, ESPN, New York Times, NPR, may look safe today – but things change. They always change. And companies won’t protect …” continue reading Krulwich’s commencement speech to the Berkeley Journalism School’s Class of 2011.
My New Gig: CoMo Tech – Columbia’s best bloggers got together to develop The CoMo Collective – a collaborative curation of our fair city. After they got it up and running and cool, they went slumming and asked me to contribute. I’m interviewing our wise, local folks about their tech and town. It’s running Monday through Friday this week and next to kick off the feature, then it’ll regularly feature new and interesting Columbians and Columbian ex-pats on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Check out CoMo Tech.
How about you? Blatant self-promotion notwithstanding, anything interesting in your world you want to share?
