Richard Miles loved his family, farming, the Chicago Cubs, and pretty much anyone he ever met. He saw the best in everyone.
He was a brilliant, humble, gentle soul with a million-dollar smile. He taught me to try and be helpful and to treat everybody the same. His kids adored him. My kids adored him.
Rest in peace, Pop. Thank you for everything. I won’t let you down.
Richard Miles, 5/9/36 – 12/11/16
We’re going to take a break from writing and publishing until 2017. Until then, I’ll leave you with the advice Lori McKenna gave her kids.
