Tuesday morning, I bought a sweater at a store, and I asked the employee what time she had to be there Friday morning…
“Actually,” she said, “I have to be here at 5 PM on Thursday evening.”
“You have to work on Thanksgiving?” I asked.
“Yep.” She said.
How sad, I thought.
That evening, sitting at Home (not my current residence but capital-H Home where I grew up) watching the news with my Mom and Dad, we saw a story about how the Thanksgiving season (this Thursday in the States) can be a time of great stress.
How sad, I thought.
But then, something wonderful happened…
I saw the magic picture frame.
Do you have one? It’s a digital frame which allows you to upload pictures to display in random order, and you can upload a zillion pictures to it and get lost in your happy memories.
It’s a little magic thankfulness harvesting machine!
It reminds you of so many great moments to which you were connected throughout your life. It also reminds you how quickly time flies by.
Celebrate. Give thanks. Be kind and gentle and grateful.
And get yourself one of these little magic thankfulness harvester machines.
That way, when you think things are sad, you’ll be reminded of the memories in your head and in your heart and of all the things for which you can be thankful.
