Don’t know if you’ve seen this yet or not, but it’s a big ole’ bucket of crazy awesome.
Click me if you can’t see the embedded video full of awesome.
According to the campaign’s website:
America’s biggest problems are going unsolved because our government is overrun by Big Money special interests and lobbyists. The amount of money corrupting our political system is at an all time high, so we’re setting out to make “fixing the corruption” the #1 issue in America.
Enter, Gil Fulbright.
Gil is a satirical Senate candidate — an “honest politician” who will openly take any position on any issue… for the right price. We’re running Gil for Senate in Kentucky during the most expensive Senate Race in American history between Senator Mitch McConnell and challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes.
They got my attention, and they got twenty-five bucks of my money, too. I’m anxiously awaiting my Honest Gil campaign button.
Takeaway
How could you rewrite your marketing to make it absolutely honest? Write the most honest draft of an ad or webpage that speaks to all the ills of your industry, then position yourself against those ills.
We’re drowning in bullfeathers, as my father says. Throw us a life preserver marked “Truth.”
And the truth will set you free… and hopefully, come November, it will also welcome the honorable Gil Fulbright, Junior Senator from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
PS – If you’re interested in why I’m backing Honest Gil, you can learn more about his campaign in this video.
