(Our good friend, the majestic, lovely, and talented Steve Holstein, shared this story of weather related significance recently. We love Shareworthy Service no matter what the weather! Thanks, Steve)
Heard of Warby Parker? This cool company does eyeglasses the way Zappos does shoes: Choose a few frames, get a package in the mail, try on the demo frames, return the demo frames, and order the actual glasses with your prescription.
Oh, and free shipping all around.
When I tried Warby Parker for the first time there was a glitch … a snowstorm.
They’re eyeglasses, not life-saving prescription drugs. But Monday afternoon, as the East Coast prepared for a blizzard, I said to my wife, “Ya think Snowzilla 2015 will delay the package?”
A few hours later this arrived in my email:
As you may have heard, the Northeast is bracing for a pretty major snowstorm, which could threaten New York with blizzard conditions for the next few days (yikes!).
Since your order is being prepared at our New York lab, you may experience a 1-3 day delay in receiving your glasses-we’ll update you on Wednesday morning as business returns to normal.
Please let us know if you have any concerns. More importantly, stay warm and cozy!

Holy Snowmen! Were they reading my mind?
And about this: “we’ll update you on Wednesday morning…”
Holy Snowplows! Were they reading my mind… again?
Of course not! Warby Parker is simply one of those awesome companies that sells great products without hassles and guesswork.
