The BBQ article you referenced is near and dear to me. I was raised on Louis Mueller BBQ because all my kin–maternal and paternal–descend from Taylor, TX.
The Bobby Mueller in the article was married to my mom’s best friend Patricia, making them my Uncle Bobby and Aunt Trish, respectively.
There exist photos of John Mueller and me in the bathtub, nekkid in that way most of us 4 and 5 year olds rolled in the early 1970s. It was a different time. 😉
We’ll go hunt down some when you’re around next time…some of that good Mueller BBQ, in Taylor and/or South Austin (not bathtubs).
