(Tim here: Our son Will wanted to do this for his birthday. He worked really, really hard on it. I was his cameraman but not his director (*except for one line). There are moments when you’re proud as a dad, and then there are moments when you’re PROUD as a dad. Happy birthday, bubs. You’ve taught us so much. We love you.)
I’m Will Miles.
Today is my 12th birthday, and what I as a present from you is to do something nice for something else.
There’s a lot of negativity in the world, and if we do one act of kindness, it might just be enough to change that.
You could use a combine… or walk an elderly lady across the street… or buy someone a cup of coffee… it only takes a few seconds.
Now, the reason I mention a combine is a bunch of kind farmers decided to help my grandpa, who’s very sick, help to finish my grandpa’s harvest.
They didn’t do it for money or fame or attention. They just did it was the right thing.
Now you can simply just do that, too.
Again, here are some more examples:
By just making someone a peanut butter and jelly sandwich…
Or by simply walking them to their house…
…and everyone should be nice to their baby sisters…*
It’s really not that hard.
Now another thing I ask you for my birthday is just to pray.
Pray that the world becomes a better place and pray that my Grandpa feels better.
Again, I am Will Miles, and today is my birthday. Thank you.
