Do you make your living as an artist?
If you go to work each day, at home, at the office, on the interwebs, then yes, yes you do.
There is an art to your daily work. And you get to choose to approach it with the creative genius you were born to share with the world. Combined with your heroic effort and your willingness to paint way past dark, a masterpiece of great impact is within your reach.
Every day when you go to work, you create art: the art of the strategy, the art of the customer experience, the art of the message.
Some artists work in paint.
Some work in stone.
Some work in steel.
Some work in concrete and asphalt.
Some work in words.
Some work in lights and cameras and action.
Some work in lessons.
Some work in dirt.
Some work in posts and pans.
Some work in stitches.
Some work in home comfort.
Some work in air conditioning.
Some work on air conditioning.
And in the words of the good folks at Bell’s Beer,
some even work in barley and hops.
So today, I’m asking:
What’s your medium? What’s your canvas? What’s your tool?
This Labor Day, we celebrate your art. The way you get up each morning, size up your canvas, wet your brush, and prepare your paint.
And from where we sit, it’s a thing of beauty to behold.
Happy Labor Day, from your friends at The Daily Blur.
