In early February, I’m debuting a new workshop for radio station sales, management and creative/production teams. It can be as short as a half-day or run two full days and include a public seminar.
Since Wizards of Ads are paid on our clients’ growth (we do not take a percentage of the ad buy), we constantly have to keep our finger on the pulse of what works, what doesn’t and why.
Don Jacobs of Results Radio invited me to deliver this workshop to his sales team of 18, and here’s the glimpse they’re going to get behind a wizard’s curtain:
MORNING SESSION – DAY 1

AFTERNOON SESSION – DAY 1
I’ll spend 30 minutes each with eight sales reps discussing ad campaigns, copy, production and strategy for ONE client each.
One week in advance, I’ll send the reps a one-sheet questionnaire and they’ll send me the ads to review so we can maximize our time together.
MORNING SESSION – DAY 2
We’ll do the same – 30 minute strategy sessions – with the other eight sales reps. Again – one client each.
Then, during lunch, I’ll give one more talk.
Managing Change from the Inside Out: How to implement all the stuff you’ve learned, and more importantly, how to get your clients on board – even those most resistant to change! It’s a great way to close out our time together.
So, Results Radio will be getting a day-and-a-half of questions answered, secrets revealed and curtains pulled back.

The presentations are great (he said humbly), but I think the real value comes from the individual half-hour sessions with account executives that deliver real-world strategies and solutions for your biggest, best and most challenging clients.
For an additional charge, I’ll do a public seminar on day 2 for clients and prospects – showing them a modified version of the original Soundbrands presentation that praises the success our clients have seen utilizing the power of sound and frequency and consistency. The only caveat being is that a station may not attach a sales pitch directly to my talk.
