Yesterday, I wrote about starting to actually (some would say finally) put my to-do’s on my calendar.
That might appear overwhelming and constrained. What if you have 28 things to do today? You’d spend two hours trying to cram it all on your calendar. How can we make things more manageable?
I took this advice from Leo Babauta at Zen Habits.
Look at your to-do list. What are the three most important tasks? Schedule those and those alone.
What are the three tasks that – if you got nothing else done today – would still make you feel pretty accomplished for the day?
Now, go. Close email. Shut down twitter. Put your phone on silent and start to work on the first of those big three.
I’ll do the same. See you tomorrow.
