Hi Sara,
It was great talking with you this week. Here are some things for you to review:
Book
In October of 2012, it was the #1 Business book on Amazon. We’re finishing the second book, The First Order of Business, now.
Essays
Here are additional thoughts on the various aspects of marketing:
- Goals & Values
- Strategic Planning
- Customer Experience
- Messaging
- Media
- We tie it all together in something we call The First Order Of Business.
Slide Deck Samples
Although we would work together to customize your workshops based on your specific goals and desired outcomes, here are some sample slide decks to give you a feel for our work.
Videos
The first is video of me teaching copywriting at a weird and wonderful little business school in Austin, Texas called… wait for it… Wizard Academy. You can watch a little or watch a lot. It’ll give you a glimpse into some of the principles in which I believe. Roy introduces me, and I start at around the 2:30 mark.
The second is my TEDx talk about the communication lessons I’ve learned from my son with autism.
Compensation
Our firm can prepare 4 fully customized workshops to enhance the effectiveness of your communications departments for $100,000 payable in advance.
In return, we’ll grant you permission to record (audio/video/slides) the training (at your own expense) so that it can be reviewed by your staff in the future.
Wanted to say one last thing about the style guide… I know you’re in a hurry, but I can tell you from experience that it will have far greater impact more quickly IF your team helps create it.
The first workshop we do could accomplish this very thing… it’s something we’ve done several times. We’d start with exercises illustrating why it’s important that communication has changed this century, then follow up with exercises in how to do it, then finally create the document together.
At the end of workshop one, you have the digest version of your style guide with complete and total investment from your staff… because they created it. We were just their sherpas.
Something to consider if it’s not too late… I have some time in September to fly out to Hartford… : )
A Little Bit About You
Finally, a little bit about what we need from you… do you share the characteristics of our most successful clients?
- You are looking for a long-term growth solution … not a band-aid approach or a quick fix.
- You are very good at what you do.
- You are open to innovation.
- You are willing to invest resources into the growth of your business.
- You are passionate about your business, its goals, products, and history.
- You are committed to your business goals.
- You accept responsibility for your successes and failures.
If you can answer ‘yes’ to all those questions, and it seems like you can, we’re ready to get to work if you are!
Thanks!
Tim
